Urinary tract infection
A urinary tract infection is an infection somewhere in the urinary tract: bladder, urethra or kidneys.
The most common is cystitis, an infection of the urethra, which occurs when bacteria enter, usually from the skin or rectal area.
If you are in doubt about whether you have a urinary tract infection, it is recommended that you see a doctor for appropriate medical treatment.
