Fatty liver or hepatic steatosis is a condition in which fat accumulates in the liver, specifically in the hepatocytes.
It presents as asymptomatic but may even develop hepatocellular carcinoma.
It has various causes among which we find alcohol, poor diet, pathologies such as diabetes, dyslipidemia, arterial hypertension, among others.
